Tell us what you are trying to do. Not what visa you think you need — what you are actually trying to achieve: the country, the timeline, who is moving, and what the main constraint is. That framing gets you a useful first reply instead of a question asking for the same information.
We do not take calls. The first exchange is always written, so there is a record of what was asked and what we said.
The three ways to reach us
| Channel | Detail | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry form | On this page — disabled pending Privacy Gate | First contact for any new matter. The structured form means your enquiry goes to the right person immediately |
| +65 9727 2359 · English and 中文 | Follow-up on an existing matter, or a quick clarifying question once an engagement is under way. Not for first enquiries — the form gives us the context we need | |
| smedigitalhubsg@gmail.com | Reply to a reply we sent. Do not send sensitive documents to this address |
There is no telephone number. We are not a call centre and cannot give accurate answers about complex requirements off the top of our heads. Written exchanges mean we can check before we reply.
When you will hear back
Within 3 business days, covered by Keith Kwai. If we are going to miss that window, you will get a message before the deadline rather than after it.
Enquiries in Simplified or Traditional Chinese are answered in the language they were sent in. Where the reply requires review before it goes out, we say so and tell you the timing.
Languages
We work in British English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Content pages are published in all three. Chinese replies to enquiries are reviewed by a named person before they are sent — we do not send machine-translated replies on matters that affect your residency or your money.
What we cannot answer by message
Seven things we will not give you a quick answer on, because a quick answer would be wrong:
- Approval probability. Nobody outside the deciding authority holds that data.
- Eligibility determination. That requires reviewing your documents against the current requirements — it is a piece of work, not a message.
- Processing time commitments. We may quote an authority’s published figure; we cannot commit to it.
- Tax opinion. Any answer touching your personal tax position requires a licensed tax adviser in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Document review by message. We do not assess documents over WhatsApp or email. A document review is a defined engagement with a written scope.
- Requests to hold or forward sensitive data. We do not receive passport copies, bank statements, identity documents or medical records by message.
- Contact with any government body on your behalf. We do not write to embassies, consulates or immigration departments on behalf of an enquirer we have no engagement with.
What not to send us
Please do not attach the following to any message, form or email, at any stage before an engagement is formally in place:
- Passport scans or copies
- National identity cards
- Bank statements or financial records
- Medical records or certificates
- Financial account details of any kind
If a piece of work requires these documents, the scope note will tell you what is needed, how to provide it, and what we do with it. We do not ask for documents speculatively.
