DTV budget calculator

This tool estimates and organises information. It never assesses eligibility, predicts approval, determines tax residence, or gives advice.

This page provides general information only. It is not legal, financial or immigration advice. Official fees are those published by the Thai authorities and are correct as of the last-checked date shown. Cost-of-living figures are never published here; all estimates are yours.

Everything you type stays in this browser tab. Nothing is saved, nothing is sent, and closing or reloading the page clears it.

How you are planning

Official fees are published in Thai baht. Any other currency shown here is an indicative conversion at the dated rate below.

Planning period

A spouse and children under 20 apply for their own DTV, so each is counted as an application (E2).

Official Thai fees

These figures are fixed. You cannot change them, because they are published by the Thai authorities.

Consular sources state one extension of up to 180 days per entry, at THB 1,900 (E7). The Immigration Bureau’s own 2026 extension page does not list the DTV and we could not find the authorising instrument (E8). Budget for it; do not depend on it.

Extensions per person

Available once someone is extending. Leaving Thailand without a re-entry permit cancels the permission to stay (F14). How that applies to a DTV holder with an extension is not stated by any official source we located — confirm with the office handling your extension.

Your own estimates

We publish no cost-of-living figures, because no official source publishes them. Every field below starts empty and stays empty until you fill it.
